PERMANENT MAGNET BRAKES

Electromagnetic permanent magnet brakes are most often used in combination with a electric motor (for instance a servo motor) to form what is called a brake motor. For our permanent magnet brakes the torque is applied by means of permanent magnets and released by means of an electromagnetic field (open when energized). Some of the unique features of our highly innovative and patented permanent magnet brakes are:

  • Exceptionally high torques for the very compact design
  • Backlash free
  • Residual torque free

SPRING APPLIED BRAKES

Electromagnetic spring applied brakes are most often used in combination with a electric motor to form what is called a brake motor. For our spring applied brakes the torque is applied by means of springs and released by means of an electromagnetic field (open when energized). A large variety of custom and standard brakes is available with torques up to 740 lbs foot (even bigger torques available on request). ROTARY SOLENOIDS

ELECTRO HOLDING MAGNETS

Our range electro holding magnets is certainly one of the biggest in the industry.

  • Round or rectangular design
  • Holding when energized or when de-energized
  • Sizes up to Ø 9.8 inches (round) and 1.6 feet (rectangular)
  • Forces from 2.6 to 6,700 lbs

DOOR HOLDERS

Door Holders are used to hold doors open by means of an electromagnetic force. In case of a fire the door holder is switched of, the spring within the door closer can automatically close the door and the fire is prevented from extending. Our range of door holders ranges from the standard cost sensitive design to the high end versions. We also design and manufacture highly innovative door holders such as our wireless or loop controlled door holders.

AC SOLENOIDS

AC solenoids (laminates) can be operated straight with an AC power supply without the need of rectifying. They are exceptionally fast and generate very high forces and strokes and still maintain their compact size.

EXPLOSION PROOF SOLENOIDS

Explosion proof solenoids are used in applications with potentially explosive atmospheres. Our solenoids may be used as valve actuators, locks and others. Often they are found to be a safer, more reliable and a very competitive alternative to alternative solutions.
